Decatur – Edith Prosser, 86, of Decatur passed away at 4:03 a.m., Thursday July 22, 2010 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday July 26, 2010, in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Edith was born December 23, 1923, in Decatur, IL the daughter of George and Alma Funderburk. She married Maurice Meyers. He preceded her in death. She then married Dwayne Prosser. He also preceded her in death. She formerly worked in housekeeping at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews: Darcel Vitzthum and her husband Al of Sullivan, Cheryl Wiley of Clearwater, Fl and Scott Prosser of Effingham; Special Friends: Joyce C. Dunn-Elmore and her husband Rocco of Decatur, Susan Bare and Stubby of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one brother and one sister.
Edith was a fun loving lady and will be sadly missed.
